Effect of exercise intervention on quality of life, sleep quality, and BMI in patients with ovarian cancer A systematic review and meta-analysis.DOI 10.1097MD.0000000000046272

Living with ovarian cancer is hard on the body and the mind. Many women feel tired, sleep poorly, and struggle with everyday life.

A new study looked at whether exercise could help.

Researchers reviewed 9 high-quality studies with over 750 women who had ovarian cancer.

These women took part in different types of exercise programs. The goal was to see if moving the body more could improve their quality of life, sleep, body weight (BMI), and fatigue.

The results were clear: exercise helped women feel better overall. It also helped them sleep better. But it didn’t make a big difference in weight or how tired they felt.

The women who exercised said their daily life improved. They had more energy, felt more in control, and were better able to handle the emotional stress of cancer.

Not every exercise plan works for everyone. And some of the studies had small problems in how they were done. Still, the message is simple: safe, regular movement can help.

Talk to your doctor before starting any new activity. A gentle walking plan, yoga, or light stretching may be enough to start feeling better.
